BREWHALLA (NORTH VANCOUVER)

October 7 – 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM PDT

Do you like beer? Do you like live music? Then you’ll love this inaugural festival in nearby North Vancouver. Over 20 North Shore breweries will be present, offering more than 50 different beers in addition to wine, cider, and alcoholic seltzers. Plus, there will be live music on two stages to spotlight local musicians. This 19+ event will be held rain or shine.

BLACK PEARL VANCOUVER HALLOWEEN PARTY CRUISE

October 29 – 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM PDT

Give your inner child a chance to shine on this pirate-themed Halloween party cruise. Departing from Coal Harbour, this yacht will take passengers on a 3-hour tour of Vancouver’s harbour. Throughout the evening you’ll mingle with other costumed guests and jive to the beats laid down by some of Vancouver’s top DJs.

Celebrate Oktoberfest at the 7th Annual Harvest Haus, hosted at the PNE Forum. This two-day event is a hit for anyone who likes sampling German food and beer, foodie and newbies alike. Along with the delectable cuisine, there’ll be live bands and DJs to deliver a rousingly authentic experience.

September 29 to October 9

Since it was first founded in 1958, this annual film festival is one of Vancouver’s premier cultural events. Attendees get to watch films from around the world, with three distinct themes: East Asian film, Canadian film, and nonfiction film. Organizers also host multiple talks, performances, and presentations that delve into the oft-untold stories behind the cameras.

BRINKWORTH DUNGEON HAUNTED HOUSE

If you’re looking to get your fright on, look no further than this locally renowned haunted house. Open in nearby Langley from October 7 through 31, Brinkworth Dungeon has been frightertaining visitors for over twenty years. Most of its impressive decorations are handmade. This year’s exhibits – Revenge of the Mummy and Silent Hill Asylum – span over 5,000 square feet, ensuring you’ll have your fill of fear and then some.
